WKU Parking and Transportation released details of its 2010-2011 winter break parking plan in an e-mail Friday morning.

Many lots, including both parking structures and the Creason and Adams street lots, will be closed for part or all of break to save the cost of illuminating them after dark.

Those staying on campus over break are encouraged to park in the Pearce Ford Tower lot, which will stay open and lighted.

In addition to closed lots being dark at night, the e-mail said they will be barricaded off.

Both parking structures will be closed following Commencement on Dec. 18 through the beginning of winter term on Jan. 3 with the exception of home basketball games, according to the e-mail.

Parking lots off Normal Drive, University Blvd., Creason Lot and Adams St. will be closed from Dec. 20-Jan. 20.
