St. John Bosco (Calif.) point guard Cezar Guerrero said he’d “never been in a situation” like he was on Friday night.

Well, he and a lot of others.

Guerrero, a four-star recruit as rated by Rivals.com, commited to play for Head Coach Ken McDonald and the Toppers on his USTREAM channel.

“I have a million-dollar smile right now because I’m excited,” he said on the stream.

Guerrero said he chose WKU over Kansas and Oklahoma.

After about eight minutes of teasing a growing crowd, Guerrero finally donned a black WKU hat and celebrated with friends while about 170 watched online.

“I’m just speechless right now to be honest with you,” he said. “I just feel like this is the most exciting moment I’ve ever had in my life.”

Guerrero, No. 61 on the latest Rivals.com 150, became the fourth reported commitment as part of WKU’s 2011 class, joining Derrick Gordon, Deng Leek and George Fant.

The announcement came just minutes after WKU’s season-starting Hilltopper Hysteria at Diddle Arena. As word spread throughout Diddle, so did excitement about the Toppers’ 2011 season.

Guerrero said he “highly” expects forward Vinny Zollo, of George Rogers Clark High School, to soon add his commitment. Zollo was at WKU Friday on an unofficial visit.

“Next season’s gonna be the season,” Guerrero said. “Fab Five coming to you. That’s about it.

“Thank you. Peace.”
