WKU Volleyball Earns Second Victory on Road

The Lady Toppers Volleyball team picked up their second win of the season by defeating Tennessee State 3-0 (25-10, 25-23, 25-17) on Tuesday at Kean Hall in Nashville, Tenn.

WKU (2-2) had four players earn hitting percentages above .400 and finished the match with a collective hitting average of .363, the highest of the season.

Stars of the night included sophomore Jordyn Skinner, who recorded 10 kills and seven digs; Sarah Rogers, with 10 digs; and Tiffany Elmore, who ended the night with the highest hitting percentage at .545.

Leading from beginning to end, the Lady Tops held Tennessee State (0-1) to a dismal .122 hitting percentage.

WKU hopes to carry the momentum from their mid-week contest when they travel on Friday to Cincinnati for the two-day Xavier Tournament featuring Northeastern, IPFW and Xavier.
