George Rogers Clark QB Dini will visit WKU

Andrew Dini, a dual-threat quarterback from George Rogers Clark High School, said he will make an unofficial visit to WKU on Oct. 16.

Dini, a 6-3 senior, threw for 1,200 yards and ran for 625 yards in 2009.

He has been recruited by linebackers coach Karl Maslowski and has also been in communication with quarterbacks coach Mark Sanford.

Dini has received a scholarship offer from Murray State but does not yet have an offer from WKU.

He said his visit will consist of a tour of campus and team facilities, along with watching WKU’s game against Louisiana-Monroe.

Dini said he’s encouraged that WKU is a program “on the rise.”

“I’ve heard it a lot of great things about (WKU’s) facilities,” he said. “And they really have a commitment to getting to a championship level.”

Dini said he doesn’t know when he’ll make a commitment, adding that the decision hinges on a scholarship offer.

“If I get an offer from WKU, and take an official visit and like it, then I’ll possibly commit,” he said.
