Business students honored

Undergraduate and graduate teams from the Gordon Ford College of Business were honored in the 40th annual International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition.

The undergraduate team won the award for best annual report and business plan.

Western competed with teams from across the United States and around the world. According to the press release, Each team, acting as top business executives, ran a simulated company by planning strategy, setting budgets, hiring and training salespeople, deciding product schedules and marketing their production.

The teams spent 10 weeks competing via the Internet. Teams met on April 15 in San Diego.
