“Expectations were high for Bryant this year after his breakout performance in last season’s Rose Bowl, when he had two tackles for losses, including a sack of UCLA quarterback Cade McNown on the Bruins’ final offensive play to clinch the UW victory, plus two tipped passes.

But Bryant still had to prove, especially to ever-demanding UW defensive line coach John Palermo, that he could be a consistent player for an entire game. Even Palermo has come away impressed this season.”
