Barnett becomes first All-American in Lady Topper Soccer history

WKU Soccer junior Ambere Barnett was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Third Team on Thursday. The midfielder becomes the first Hilltopper All-American in program history.

Barnett can add an All-American selection to her already vast collection of accolades. Barnett had previously earned Conference USA Player of the Year, C-USA Midfielder of the Year, United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team and All-C-USA First Team honors.

The midfielder finished the season in the national top 40 in four different statistics. She placed 25th in shot accuracy (0.654), 32nd in goals per game (0.67), 38th in shots on goal (1.89) and 40th in points per game (1.56). She led the Hilltoppers in both goals and points with six and 14 respectively.
