Barnett named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team

WKU Soccer’s Ambere Barnett continues to garner awards. The junior midfielder was one of 13 athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches Women’s NCAA Division I Scholar All-America Team on Wednesday.

Barnett was also named to the All-Region Team in the South Region. The Rockport, Indiana native can add those two honors to her United Soccer Coaches All-American Third Team selection, 2020-21 Conference USA Player of the Year, Conference USA Midfielder of the Year, Conference USA All-First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team nods.

Barnett is currently a Business Marketing major at WKU. After three full seasons on the Hill, the midfielder ranks ninth all-time in goals scored (18), is tied for fourth in assists (16), and places seventh in total career points (52).
