WKU’s men and women’s track and field programs have both been named as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams for their success in the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year.

“Here at WKU, we pride ourselves on succeeding in our events and in the classroom,” Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Brent Chumbley said in a press release. “In a year where we faced a lot of challenges, I am very proud of the efforts put forth by our student-athletes, both athletically and academically.”

Both rosters have made the USTFCCCA list during both seasons under Chumbley’s direction and it is the third time in program history that both the men and women’s rosters earned the honor.

It is the seventh time that the women’s team has been honored. The roster completed the academic year with a 3.45 cumulative GPA. The men’s team finished the year with a mark of 3.03 and it is the third time the roster has been honored.
