Besides the ace, Fuller’s first round of the day consisted of seven consecutive pars and a pair of birdies. He finished with a team-leading 1-under 71 on round one and shot an even-72 in the second round. Fuller currently sits in 16th place, a mere two shots away from a top-five finish.
Redshirt junior Thomas Hogan shot a consistent opening round, compiling a 1-under 72 while shooting nothing but par across the back nine. He shot a 2-over 74 in round two and sits in 25th, one shot away from breaking the top 20.
Freshmen Stephen Warren and Riley Grindstaff both sit tied for 42nd place. Warren shot a 2-over 74 followed by a 3-over 75 and Grindstaff contributed a 4-over 76 followed by a 1-over 73 in his second round.
Sophomore Connery Meyer made an impressive jump between rounds, beginning his day with a 7-over 79 and rebounding for a 4-over 76 in his second round.
Freshman Elliott Pope, competing in just his second-ever tournament as a Hilltopper, put together a 3-over 75 in his first round of the day, good for his best-ever collegiate result.
The team as a whole sits in 10th place with more action to come on Tuesday.
