Blaq Art Nouveau is presenting a fashion show on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. in DSU 3003-3007 to represent student businesses on campus and give WKU students an opportunity to showcase their fashion.

The event admission will cost $3 and will also serve as a networking experience for students. The theme of the show is titled Frostbite, and attendees are encouraged to come dressed their best.

Aysha Stovall, the vice president of Blaq Art Nouveau, said the fashion show will show WKU students that the organization is an art expression club.

“We all think that it is important for us to showcase fashion because Blaq Art Nouveau isn’t just a poetry club like everyone thinks. We are an art expression club, meaning that whatever art form you do, we want to show it off and help you showcase it,” Stovall said.

Blaq Art Nouveau encourages students interested in every type of art form to feel welcome in the organization.

“We have all types of different art forms in our club including: painting, poetry, dancing, singing, clothing design, and more,” Stovall said. “Our goal for the fashion show is to show off the amazing small student businesses on campus and to give WKU students a fun and fashionable event right before finals to let off some steam.”
