A WKU student, James Crenshaw, who anonymously posted on Yik Yak threatening a shooting near Pearce Ford Tower has been charged with terroristic threatening of the second degree.

The post said “Shooting up pft around 4:30ish,” followed by a comment that said “Y’all gonna feel my pain.”

The police report says that a WKU officer was contacted by the Bowling Green Police Department. Detective Harmon contacted Yik Yak about the threat and received information including the user’s phone number.

Three officers identified Crenshaw in the lobby of Douglas Keen and interviewed him. In the interview, Crenshaw admitted to making the posts and “realized he had made them in poor taste,” according to the police report.

Crenshaw consented to a search of his room, where no weapons were found.
