UPDATE: WKU’s campus is closed and all classes are cancelled for Friday, Jan. 7 as well due to winter weather.

WKU’s campus will be closed and all classes are cancelled for Thursday, Jan. 6, due to winter weather, the university announced Wednesday evening via mass text alert and email.

According to WBKO, the Bowling Green area could see anywhere from three to five inches of snow accumulate over the course of Thursday morning into the afternoon.

The high for Thursday will top out at 29 degrees and the forecasted low is set at 9 degrees. The temperature will fail to cross freezing on Friday with temperatures expected to reach a high of just 26 degrees.
