President Timothy Caboni announced Wednesday that university offices will close during future fall and spring breaks to give faculty and staff the opportunity to “collectively refresh and recharge.”

According to Caboni’s email to faculty and staff, university offices will close for the the two days of WKU’s fall break each year. Offices will close for three days during spring breaks: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All five days have been added to WKU’s paid holiday schedule.

“Our commitment to caring for employees extends beyond salary,” Caboni’s email states. “Other benefits, including paid time off, play an important role in building a competitive total compensation package.”
