On Wednesday, March 22, Blaq Art Nouveau, led by President Aysha Stoveall, held a beauty shop in Downing Student Union. The art expression group focused this event on teaching women at WKU the history of Black hair in the United States. By showcasing different types of styles, the group emphasizes the importance of empowering oneself through hair.
