WKU Men’s Golf Head Coach Chan Metts resigned from his position Thursday, April 27 after five years at the helm of the program.

In his time with the Hilltoppers, Metts coached two individuals to three tournament medalist titles. Metts also coached two WKU golf superstars Billy Tom Sargent and Stuart Easton during his time on the hill. Sargent became the first Hilltoper to reach the NCAA golf championship during Metts’ tenure.

“We thank Chan for his dedication to our program over the last five years,” Athletic Director Todd Stewart said in a WKU Athletics brief.  “We wish him all the best with his future endeavors.”

WKU has begun a national search for Metts replacement.
