Following a successful 4-0 week for WKU Volleyball, three Hilltoppers took home C-USA weekly honors. Fifth year outsider hitter Paige Briggs was named the offensive player of the week with sophomore redshirt setter Callie Bauer being named C-USA setter of the week. Additionally, freshman middle hitter Gabby Weihe was named freshman of the week.

Over the four matches, Briggs posted an average 5.29 kill set with a total of 74 kills. She also broke WKU volleyball’s program single match kill record by four with 35 kills in the Western Michigan matchup.

Bauer grabbed 175 assists throughout the four matches, putting her in second for total assists in all of NCAA volleyball. She also posted 31.5 points with ten blocks for WKU during their undefeated week.

Starting every game for the Hilltoppers, Wiehe collected 19 kills and a .538 hitting percentage. The freshman also contributed seven blocks and had her first error-free match with the Hilltoppers in their match against Western Michigan.

The Hilltoppers now hold a 10-4 record and are currently riding a five-game win streak. Their next matchup on the court will be against The University of Texas at El Paso on Sept. 22 at 6p.m. CST in E.A. Diddle Arena.
