WKU Men’s Basketball freshman guard Julius Thedford announced on Instagram Monday that he is entering the transfer portal ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
“After much prayer and careful consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal,” Thedford said in an Instagram statement. “I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to the Western Kentucky University Coaching staff, my teammates, and the Bowling Green community.”
Thedford averaged 12 points a game in his freshman campaign, playing in 17 games before going down with a knee injury against Middle Tennesee State on Jan. 18. He led the Hilltoppers in scoring at Kentucky with 18 and had nine outings over 15 points through the season.
In addition to two Conference USA Freshman of the Week selections, Thedford was named to the CUSA All-Freshman team.
