Hilltopper Head Coach Hank Plona’s Indian Hills Community College connection continues to pay dividends.
The former Indian Hills head coach secured a commitment from a former Warrior, senior guard Ryan Myers, who committed to WKU on Wednesday via his Instagram.
Myers played for the Iona Gaels through his first two collegiate seasons, averaging six points per game as a freshman and five in his sophomore campaign. Heading into his junior season, Myers transferred to Indian Hills, starting in 28 games and averaging eight points per game through Plona’s final season as a Warrior.
Myers then went to Western Illinois, where he played in 32 games, starting 31 for the Leathernecks, averaging 13.3 points per game.
Myers will be joining a depleted guard room on the Hill as seniors Don McHenry, Enoch Kalambay and Braxton Bayless are in the transfer portal, and freshman Julius Thedford has committed to Memphis.
