WKU Softball redeemed itself at the University of Louisville in a 2-0 shutout win on Tuesday after falling to the Cardinals last month
The Hilltoppers are now 25-19 overall and have a four-game winning streak.
Freshman Erica Houge pulled through for the Hilltoppers in the circle. In her first full seven-inning performance, she allowed just two hits, three walks and struck out three.
The game was scoreless through the first two innings.Â
In a bases-loaded situation, freshman right fielder Macy Gregor’s RBI single in the top of the third scored sophomore shortstop Morgan Sharpe.Â
In the top of the fourth, sophomore first baseman Annie White’s sacrifice fly scored sophomore center fielder Kendle White, giving the Hilltoppers a 2-0 lead.
The score remained 2-0 through the rest of the game, securing the win for WKU.
The Hilltoppers will travel to Miami, Florida, this weekend to face Florida International University in a Conference USA series.
