WKU Football defensive back Upton Stout was selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers Friday night.
The nickel cornerback recorded 53 total tackles, one sack and one interception last season. He finished his college career with six interceptions, 15 pass deflections and two defensive touchdowns.
Stout was named to the First Team All-Conference USA Defense in his last season on the Hill. With this selection, Stout becomes the 40th Hilltopper to be drafted into the NFL and the fifth in the last four drafts.
