WKU has a short journey north to take on in-state foe, the 3rd-ranked Louisville Cardinals, Monday, Sept 22.
The Hilltoppers come off the Alyssa Cavanaugh Classic this weekend where they went 3-0. On the weekend, the Hilltoppers did not drop a set.
WKU was led by freshman outside hitter Kiara Knox, who had 33 kills in the first two games.Â
Knox went down late in game two and did not return for the last game of the classic. She will not be available against the Cardinals.
Louisville is coming off a five-set thriller against the Kentucky Wildcats, suffering just its second loss of the season. The Cardinals will be led by sophomore outside hitter Payton Peterson, with 119 kills on the season.
The Hilltoppers have never tasted victory against the Cardinals in 19 meetings. WKU has been swept in nine of the meetings.
First serve is set for 5:30 pm on the ACC Network.
