WKU Men’s Basketball is wrapping up its exhibition games on Wednesday night with a road matchup against UAB. This is the second straight season they will meet for an exhibition.
“This will be a real, fake test against UAB. We will stay more focused on ourselves, but obviously, we will do everything we can. Like a test run for a road game here this week,” Head Coach Hank Plona said.
The new-look Hilltoppers come off an exhibition game against Kentucky Wesleyan on Wednesday. After a shaky first half, the Hilltoppers picked up the victory 82-43.
Redshirt sophomore Teagan Moore led the way with 11 points, and transfers LJ Hackman and Bryant Selebangue finished with 10 points.
“I was looking forward to it all week. Once you get out there, it’s just basketball, and I’ve been playing basketball my whole life,” Moore said after the first exhibition game.
UAB came off an exhibition game against Vanderbilt this past week, falling 89-67. The Blazers have a completely new team, returning only a walk-on from last season.
Tip-off is set for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m..
