WKU volleyball will forever immortalize Head Coach Travis Hudson Saturday with a statue outside Gate Two of Diddle Arena.
The ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. after the Hilltoppers’ senior day game against Delaware.
“I don’t know how to react or respond to that kind of accolade. But obviously I’m really honored,” Hudson said.
Hudson has been at the helm for 31 seasons, where he has led the Hilltoppers to tremendous success, suffering just two losing seasons in his tenure.
Starting in 2018, Hudson led the Hilltoppers to a regular-season conference win streak that hit 100 straight Oct. 8 against Sam Houston. WKU won five of six conference championships during the streak.
WKU men’s basketball legendary head coach E.A. Diddle is the only other coach with a statue.
