WKU Women’s Basketball will end its three-game home stand Wednesday night against Vanderbilt.
The Lady Toppers fell to Indiana State 65-60 in their last outing. Sophomore guard Salma Khedr posted a career-high 24 points, but a fourth-quarter surge from the Sycamores powered WKU’s defeat.
Khedr now leads the Lady Toppers in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game. Shortly behind is senior forward Jeniffer Silva, who is averaging 12 points per game and leads the team in rebounds per game with six.
No. 17 Vanderbilt sits at a 3-0 record thus far. The Commodores took a 75-65 road win last Wednesday night at Austin Peay.
Vanderbilt is led by guard Mikayla Blakes, who is averaging team-highs in points per game, 22.7, and steals per game, three. The sophomore was named last season’s Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year.
The teams most recently faced in Nov. 2023, where the Lady Toppers fell on the road 77-74.
Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+, Wednesday night.
