WKU Women’s Basketball begins its month-long away stretch Sunday at Miami (OH) after falling just short to Florida Atlantic Wednesday night.
The Lady Toppers suffered a 47-44 home loss to the Owls, bringing them to 3-5 on the season and 2-3 in Diddle Arena.
Sophomore forward Torri James finished as WKU’s leading scorer with 12 points. She also leads the Lady Toppers in minutes, 32.9, points, 9.2 and rebounds, 5.0, per game.
A balanced Lady Topper offense includes five players who are averaging over eight points per game.
Miami sits at 6-3 on the season after defeating Cincinnati on the road 75-71 Wednesday night. The RedHawks’ opponents have failed to tame junior forward Amber Tretter, who has posted a double-double for three consecutive games. She also averages a team-high 10.4 rebounds per game.
WKU has never fallen to Miami in their eight total meetings. The Lady Toppers most recently bested the RedHawks 79-60 last season at home.
Tipoff is set for noon CT. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
