An explosive 60-point second half powered WKU men’s basketball to a 102-91 win over the Sam Houston Bearkats.
The Hilltoppers dominated in the second half, shooting 51%. Sophomore guard Teagan Moore scored 28 points, his fourth straight game with double-digit scoring.
Senior guard Ryan Myers poured in 18 points in just 18 minutes, shooting 5-7 from the 3-point line.
Freshman guard Armelo Boone continued his hot shooting, totaling 16 points and 13 rebounds, marking Boone’s fourth straight game of double-digit scoring.
A late three-pointer at the end of the first half from redshirt sophomore guard Teagan Moore set the scene for a dominant second half. The shot cut the Bearkats’ lead to 49-42 entering halftime.
The WKU defense settled in to hold the Bearkats to 42% shooting in the second half following a scorching 51% in the first half.
The win moves the Hilltoppers to 8-5 (1-1 CUSA) on the season. A day off prepares the Hilltoppers for a battle with Louisiana Tech at Diddle Arena on Jan. 4.
