WKU Men’s Basketball looks to continue their two-game win streak as they travel to New Mexico State on Thursday to continue CUSA play.
The Hilltoppers are currently tied for second place in conference, with a 9-5 (2-1 CUSA) record. Redshirt sophomore guard Teagan Moore leads the Hilltoppers with 18.2 points per game.
WKU runs a balanced offense, with four players averaging double figures. Freshman guard Armelo Boone has become a focal point for the Hilltoppers’ offense, averaging a team-best 12.2 points per game.
New Mexico State is led by senior guard Jemel Jones, averaging 15.2 points per game, and shooting 42% from the field. The Aggies sit at 8-5 on the season, and 1-2 in conference.
“They are a really good team, undefeated at home. They were picked really high in our league,” Head Coach Hank Plona said. “They have big, strong athletic guys who can shoot and score.”
The Hilltoppers and Aggies split the season series last season, highlighted by a 101-69 Hilltopper win on Feb. 1.
Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT, and the game can be streamed on ESPN+.
