WKU men’s basketball continues its home stand as they take on the Kennesaw State Owls in Diddle Arena Saturday night.
The Hilltoppers are fresh off a big win over the Missouri State Bears Wednesday night, improving to 11-6 (4-2 CUSA) on the season. Head Coach Hank Plona has turned the Hilltoppers around after a 2-4 start to CUSA play last season.
Redshirt sophomore guard Teagan Moore is the leading scorer for the Hilltoppers, averaging 17.6 points per game, more than doubling his scoring in his freshman season.
Kennesaw State is riding the momentum of a three-game win streak, capped off by a 89-86 comeback win over Florida International Wednesday night.
Senior guard Simeon Cottle leads Kennesaw State, averaging 20.5 points per game. The Owls lead CUSA in points per game, averaging 88.9 points per game.
“Their pace is very quick, a lot of threes. Those dudes play with a lot of confidence, they have a lot of experience,” Head Coach Hank Plona said.
Last season, the Hilltoppers and Owls split the season series, each earning wins on their home court.
Tipoff is set for 2 p.m., and the game can be streamed on ESPN+.
