WKU Men’s Basketball finishes up their three-game home stand against the Liberty Flames on Wednesday night.
The Hilltoppers look to rebound after an uncompetitive loss to the Kennesaw State Owls Saturday afternoon, 81-65. With the Hilltoppers’ loss, they fell to 11-7 (4-3 CUSA).
WKU is led by the guard duo of redshirt sophomore Teagan Moore and freshman Armelo Boone. Moore is the leading scorer of the Hilltoppers, averaging 17.1 points per game, and Boone pours in 11.8 points per game.
Liberty leads CUSA with a 15-3 record. The Flames are currently one of the hottest mid-majors in the country, on a nine-game win streak.
Sophomore guard Brett Decker Jr leads the Flames with 17.8 points per game. Liberty gets production all across the board, with four players averaging double figures.
“Numbers-wise, they are very efficient. Shooting percentage, offensive efficiency. That’s probably a product of how close together they are,” Head Coach Hank Plona said.
The Hilltoppers and Flames split the season series last season, each winning one game on the road.
Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m., and the game can be streamed on ESPN+.
