WKU Women’s Basketball returns to Diddle Arena after a three-game road trip to host Kennesaw State Thursday morning for the annual “Education Day.”
The Lady Toppers have yet to find their groove in conference play. WKU remains in last place at 5-17 (1-10 CUSA) and has lost seven straight games. If the Lady Toppers are not in the top 10 conference teams by the end of the regular season, they will not advance to the 2026 CUSA tournament in Huntsville, Alabama.
Sophomore guard Salma Khedr leads WKU in scoring, averaging 10 points per game. She also finished with a team-high 10 points in the Lady Toppers’ most recent contest against Missouri State. Senior forward Zsofia Telegdy controls the boards, averaging 4.7.
Kennesaw State is tied for ninth place in CUSA standings. The Owls’ 64-58 win over Liberty last Saturday improved them to 11-11 (4-7 CUSA).
Senior guard Keyarah Berry leads KSU offensively. She averages a team-high 14.3 points per game, good for sixth place in the conference.
The Owls also lead CUSA in blocks, averaging 4.32 per game.
Thursday’s competition will be the fourth meeting between WKU and KSU. The Lady Toppers hold a 2-1 all-time record over the Owls, most recently falling 78-64 on the road earlier this season.
Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. Thursday morning in Diddle Arena.
