WKU Men’s Basketball begins its two-game road trip tomorrow night against the Delaware Blue Hens.
The Hilltoppers come off a thrilling 82-80 victory against rival Middle Tennessee. WKU is on a two-game win streak, improving to 14-11 and 7-7 in Conference USA.
Redshirt sophomore guard Teagan Moore returned to the hardwood after missing five games and did not miss a beat against MTSU. Moore tied his career-high 28 points and contributed five rebounds.
“When you are out for two weeks, just feeling the love from the Diddle crowd definitely gave me a boost for this game,” Moore said after the MTSU game.
Delaware has momentum on their side, on a three-game win streak. The Blue Hens are 9-16 and 5-9 in CUSA. During this stretch, Delaware has escaped with victories over MTSU, FIU and Missouri State.
The Blue Hens stretch out their offense, with four players averaging double-digits. Redshirt freshman guard Christian Bliss and senior guard Justyn Fernandez lead the team, both averaging 15.8 points per game.
“They play three guys for 40 minutes and two guys for 37 minutes. They have five that are very talented basketball players,” Head Coach Hank Plona said. “They have proven that they can win.”
This will be the first ever meeting between the Hilltoppers and Blue Hens.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., and can be streamed on ESPN+.
