WKU Men’s Basketball concludes its regular season Saturday afternoon against the FIU Panthers.
The Hilltoppers come off a tough 87-74 loss Thursday night against Missouri State, where the Bears snapped WKU’s six-game win streak.
“We are really focused on what we are doing. I think the guys have bought into the past month,” Head Coach Hank Plona said.
Redshirt sophomore guard Teagan Moore leads the Hilltoppers in points per game with 18.9 points. Three other players are averaging double figures.
FIU comes off a loss against Middle Tennessee State, 73-67. The Panthers are currently tied for ninth in Conference USA at 7-12 and 14-16 overall.
Much like the Hilltoppers, the Panthers have four double-digit scorers on the season. Senior guard Corey Stephenson leads the way with 17.8 points per game.
WKU and FIU met earlier this season in Diddle Arena, where the Hilltoppers came out victorious 80-70. The win against the Panthers kick-started WKU’s six-game win streak that spanned the whole month of February.
The Hilltoppers will look a little different this go around, with Moore back in the lineup after missing their earlier meeting due to a concussion.
Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
