A twist to a classic tradition is coming to campus as WKU’s Queer Student Union prepares to host its upcoming Romantic Goth Soiree.
On Saturday, April 25th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Downing Student Union room 3020, students can come and enjoy an evening of music, fun, and fashion. Tickets can be purchased on QSU’s Instagram linktree at $5 a ticket.
Cameron Elliott-Moody, the prom committee head, said that attendees can expect a fun atmosphere featuring gothic decorations, fun music, and a prom court. The event is not limited to those already involved in the organization; any WKU student is able to attend after purchasing a ticket.
Cameron said the idea behind this event is to create a space where students can come and have fun with friends and partners before finals week.
“We just want to throw a little event where people can come out and have fun and have a time to take their minds off of everything that is stressing them out,” Elliott-Moody said.
