WKU Men’s Basketball’s incoming freshman guard Cole Edelen has decommitted from the Hilltoppers, he announced on Instagram.
Edelen is a three-star commit out of Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He would have joined fellow three-star commit forward Gabe Weis and unranked guard Gavin Murphy.
Edelen averaged 18.4 points per game and shot 45.6% from the floor in his senior season at Ballard. He led Ballard to a 23-7 record, placing eighth in the state of Kentucky.
Before Edelen committed to the Hilltoppers, he held offers from Conference USA foe Jacksonville State as well as Pittsburgh, Stony Brook, High Point and more.
Edelen is the younger brother of former Hilltopper guard Jack Edelen.
Jack Edelen announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on April 2.
