Deborah Renshaw celebrated the opening of her new boutique, Apricot Lane, last night with family and friends.

Today is the grand opening for the boutique, which is now open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The store features women’s clothing, jewelry, scarves and other accessories.

The store also offers Fashion Parties.

“It’s similar to the old school Tupperware parties,” she said.

The store is located in Greenwood Mall near the main entrance.

Renshaw, a former NASCAR driver, said the love for business in her family pushed her to establish one of her own.

Her father, a former coal miner, started his own business after losing his job.

He now owns four car dealerships in Kentucky, including the Greenwood Ford Lincoln Mercury in town.

A shopping trip to Louisville introduced her to the Apricot Lane franchise.

Renshaw also plans on offering deals for WKU students.

“I’m trying to be there for the stay-at-home mom, for the business women and be there for the college girl,” she said.
