WKU Football signs North Alabama transfer Brodric Martin

The WKU football program announced Saturday afternoon the signing of North Alabama transfer redshirt junior Brodric Martin. The Tuscaloosa, Alabama native stands six-foot-five while weighing 329 pounds. 

Martin redshirted his freshman year in 2017 before playing all 10 games for his team in his redshirt freshman season. In 2018, he started his first collegiate game on Oct. 13, 2018 against Mississippi College. He finished the season with 27 total tackles and three tackles for loss. 

In 2019, he started all 11 games while finishing seventh on the team in tackles with 43. He finished the 2019 season with 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. His best game in 2019 came on Sept. 14 against North Alabama’s rival Alabama A&M, where he totaled eight tackles. 

Martin played in only four games for North Alabama in 2020 due to a COVID-19 shortened FCS fall season. He played in all four games, three against FBS opponents, where he tallied 11 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. His best game came against a Hilltopper Conference USA foe in Southern Mississippi, where he totaled six tackles and 1.5 five tackles for loss.
