WKU Women’s Basketball will play at Diddle Arena for the final time this season on Saturday hosting New Mexico State for Senior Day.
Seniors Alexis Mead, Destiny Salary, and Mariama Sow will be honored during the game.
The Lady Toppers currently sit in third place in the Conference USA with an 11-4 record after a win against UTEP Thursday.
Junior guard Josie Gilvin continued her breakout season against the Miners with her fourth straight double-double, scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds on 9-15 shooting. Gilvin is the Lady Toppers’ third-leading scorer, averaging 12.1 points and 5.9 rebounds a game. She is the team’s leading rebounder.
“Rebounding has definitely been an emphasis for us,” Gilvin said. “I know that I can always contribute in rebounding.”
NMSU sits fourth in the conference at 8-7 after losing to Middle Tennessee State on Thursday. The Aggies defeated the Lady Toppers earlier this season with a 64-59 win in Pan American Center.
The Aggies are led by senior guard Molly Kaiser, who averages a career-high 20.9 points per game this season. The guard scored 17 points against the Lady Toppers earlier this season.
