WKU volleyball returns to Diddle Arena this weekend to take on the Sam Houston Bearkats.
The Hilltoppers swept Louisiana Tech last weekend and remain undefeated in conference play.
Sophomore Alivia Skidmore led WKU with 24 kills through the weekend. Freshman Sonja Laaksonen secured a career high in kills with 10 in game two.
Sam Houston comes off a sweep by FIU, hungry for its first conference win of the season.
“I’m the rookie coach when it comes to this matchup. [Brenda Gray] has been at Sam Houston for about 40 years. She’s a legend in the sport,” Head Coach Travis Hudson said.
The Hilltoppers and Bearkats have only met five times, their last matchup coming in 2024. Gray is searching for her first win against Hudson. The Bearkats defeated the Hilltoppers once in 1986 when Hudson was not at the helm.
First serve is set for Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
