The water main break that led to the closure of College Heights Boulevard has been repaired, and the road is expected to reopen soon, University Spokesperson Jace Lux said.
The leak caused the closure of both lanes from Cherry Hall to the stop sign at the corner of College Heights Boulevard and Avenue of Champions, according to an email from university transportation. The WKU Police Department cautioned the university community this morning to “use an abundance of caution when walking and driving in the area.”
The road closure affected WKU bus routes, closing Route 2 bus stops at The Valley and McCormack Hall. Route 3 stops at Gordon Wilson Hall, Schneider Hall and DSU were also closed.
Before Lux received notice of the repair, he said Bowling Green Municipal was on scene to find the cause of the break.
