Earth Week at Lost River Cave

Dom Frassinelli, 7, holds a snail he found while cleaning up the nature trails at Lost River Cave on Sept. 20, 2020.

Lost River Cave is celebrating their Earth Week by cleaning up the nature trails. While it is usually held during the week of Earth Day, Earth Week was moved due to concerns with COVID-19. Families and individuals volunteered their time to beautify and protect habitats by removing invasive species, allowing native species to grow more easily. Many people saw this as an opportunity to get out the house and be a part of the community.
