Coronavirus by the numbers: How many cases are in Warren County and Kentucky?

As the number of cases of the coronavirus continue to rise around the globe, it’s important to stay up to date on the facts. Here is the Herald’s coronavirus update by the numbers:

Coronavirus at WKU

While there are no reported cases at WKU at this time, the university has switched to digital classes for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester and has conducted move-out procedures.

Students are required to move out of their residence halls by March 31.

Coronavirus in Bowling Green and Warren County

There are 95 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Warren county, according to Johns Hopkins data.

Coronavirus in Kentucky

There are 2,960 cases of the virus in Kentucky, according to Johns Hopkins. 

Coronavirus in the U.S.

There are 759,786 confirmed cases of the virus in the U.S., according to Johns Hopkins and 40,690 reported deaths with 70,980 recovered.

Coronavirus around the globe

As of the World Health Organization’s April 19 situation report, there are 2,241, 778 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide, with  81,572 new cases worldwide. WHO’s report gives a total of 152,551 total deaths related to the virus. According to Johns Hopkins data, there have been a total of 635,476 recoveries.
