All WKU campuses will be closed tomorrow, Jan. 30, because of the predicted cold weather and wind chills, according to an email from Bob Skipper, director of media relations.

According to National Weather Service, there is a chance of snow showers tonight and a chance of flurries Wednesday morning. Wednesday’s predicted high is 17 degrees Fahrenheit with wind chill values as low as -6 degrees.

Originally, all on-campus dining services were scheduled to be closed on Wednesday except for Fresh Food Company. WKU Restaurant Group changed its schedule to open the Downing Student Union food court (Steak ‘N Shake, Papa John’s and Chick-Fil-A) at 10:30 a.m.

Preston Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., but all scheduled programs and services for Wednesday have been cancelled. The Jody Richards Hall computer lab will close at midnight Tuesday and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Follow WKU News for updates on services that will remain open Wednesday.

WKU anticipates returning to its normal schedule on Thursday, Skipper’s email stated.
