WKU athletics has announced a three-athlete 2018 induction class for the program’s hall of fame, which features Crystal Kelly from the women’s basketball program, Matt Wilhite from the baseball program and Rick Yeloushan from the swimming program.

Kelly played for the Lady Toppers from 2005-08. In those four years, she earned three All-American honors, four All-Sun Belt honors and one Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year honor. She sits atop WKU’s all-time scoring list with 2,803 career points.

Wilhite played for the Hilltopper baseball team from 2000-03. He was an All-American and won Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year, becoming the first reliever to do so. He was also a two-time All-Sun Belt honoree. He holds program records for single-season appearances, career appearances and career saves.

Yeloushan competed for the WKU swim team from 1971-74. He set program records for the 50 and 100-meter freestyles, he was the first in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championships, and he was a member of the 400 individual medley and 400 freestyle teams that set school records as well. Yeloushan was named WKU’s Male Athlete of the Year in 1974 and was named WKU’s Most Valuable Swimmer three years straight.

The three inductees will be honored at the annual W-Club Homecoming Brunch at 10 a.m. on Oct. 27.
