WKU’s Board of Regents will vote next week on raising tuition by $210 a semester for the 2026-27 academic year, according to the university’s proposed budget.
Currently, tuition sits at $6,036 per semester for an in-state student to attend WKU. If these changes are approved, semesterly tuition will increase to $6,246 per student. This is an increase of 1.85% in the tuition amount.
This motion is packaged in a request to approve the 2026-27 fiscal year operating budget of $405 million and is recommended to be approved by WKU President Timothy Caboni.

If this passes the Board of Regents, it will mark the sixth consecutive fiscal year of tuition increases at the university.
