As part of the 2015-2016 fiscal year budget, the WKU Honors college has endured budget cuts.  To combat the shrinking budget within the Honors College, the position of Assistant Director for Research has been eliminated, which was held by Dr. Leslie L. Baylis. Baylis’s research focuses on the effects of aging and stroke damage on the brain, specifically in regards to memory and attention. She will remain at WKU as a full time faculty member in the Department of Psychological Sciences, and will continue to teach the courses of Introductory Psychology (honors and non-honors), Sensation and Perception, Physiological Psychology, Introduction to Neurobiology, Psychology and Medicine, Psychopharmacology: Drugs and Behavior, and Evolutionary Psychology.
