HALFTIME: WKU 31, Bowling Green 10

Western Kentucky currently leads Bowling Green State 31-10 at halftime.

WKU’s offense came out of the gate on fire with Brandon Doughty completing seven straight passes on the opening drive with Leon Allen capping it off with a two-yard score.

Doughty threw touchdown passes to Taywan Taylor and Atwane Grante for 55 and 34 yards respectively to lead BGSU 21-0 with 8:36 left in the first half.

The Falcons got on the board with a one-yard run by Fred Coppet to cut the WKU lead to 21-7.

Doughty then threw a screen pass to Willie McNeal for a nine-yard touchdown to go up 28-7.

BGSU’s Tyler Tate kicked a 52 yard field goal with 2:50 left in the half to make the score 28-10.

Garrett Schwettman sent the teams into the locker room at halftime with a 29-yard field goal for the current 31-10 score.

Brandon Doughty has completed passes to eight different receivers, completing 27-of-32 passes for 359 yards and three touchdowns. 

Taywan Taylor leads all receivers with eight catches for 128 yards.
