Harris, Akamune sign with Bowling Green Hornets

Two WKU basketball seniors will continue playing basketball for the time being. 

The Bowling Green Hornets announced Monday that former WKU guard Brandon Harris and forward O’Karo Akamune have signed and are expected to make their debut Saturday night in Nashville against the Middle Tennessee Storm.

Harris and Akamune will make their home court debut April 12 at Russellville High School against the Memphis Soul Kings.

The Bowling Green Hornets is a semi-pro basketball team in the Central Basketball Association. 

Harris, a 6-foot-1 guard from Oklahoma City, Ok., averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds last season with WKU.

Akamune, a 6-7 forward from Miami, Fla. averaged 4.1 points and 5.0 rebounds in 2013-14.
