WKU redshirt senior safety Devon Key signed with the Kansas City Chiefs following the end of the 2021 NFL Draft.

NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero broke the news of Key’s signing with the Chiefs. 

Key started in 49 of a possible 50 games in four seasons while on the Hill. He totaled six interceptions along with 25 passes defended and 350 career total tackles, setting the team’s FBS Era tackle record.  

This past season Key was named second team All-Conference USA. 

In 2020, Key totaled 92 tackles along with one interception coming in WKU’s bowl game against the Georgia State Panthers.
