This afternoon, President Caboni sent an email saying people who are fully vaccinated will no longer have to wear a mask on campus starting today.

There are a few exceptions where fully vaccinated people would need to wear masks including the Preston Center and Graves Gilbert Clinic.

This announcement came soon after Gov. Andy Beshear announced capacity limits and mask mandates would no longer be in effect starting June 11. The CDC recently relaxed its COVID-19 guidelines now saying fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask in most indoor or outdoor settings.

Caboni said he encouraged faculty, staff, and students to get vaccinated.

“While we are not completely across the finish line, we are close,” Caboni said via email. “The light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter every day.”
